It has come to our attention that we may either lose (or lose access to) our Knabstrupper Network website by June, 2021 as our website host has merged with another company and is no longer offering a free plan.
We are looking at possible options:
- Start fundraisers to pay for hosting/domain and keep the existing site.
- Start advertising for sponsors to keep the existing site.
- Create a new free site (of which we will lose all member information, posts, pics, etc).
- Abandon the site and move as much content as possible over to our Facebook page (may lose the ability to post sales)
If you're wondering why our newsletters are sporadic (instead of quarterly), or why the Knabstrupper Spotlight & Stallion Showcase is only updated periodically, etc., it's because the Knabstrupper Network relies on the support of our fellow Knabstrupper owners to help us provide the content for our Knabstrupper Spotlight, Stallion Showcase, News and Facebook pages- One of the aims of the Knabstrupper Networks is to generate public interest in Knabstrupper breed by sharing the accomplishments and successes and photos of Knabstruppers in North America, and so many Knabstruppers and their owners/breeders here in America are doing things to brag about, so please send us submissions and give your Knabbie their 15 minutes of fame!
Also, while the staff does it's best to keep abreast of relevant news to share with our members, most of the time it's one person running the show/providing content- if you would be interested in becoming part of the Knabstrupper Network volunteer staff, please contact us!
The good news is, whether or not we lose our website/domain, our FB page isn't going anywhere!
We may be creating a poll for our Knabstrupper Network followers to vote on what to do about the website issue, but in the meantime, if site members have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, feel free to Contact Us.
